Eşref Rüya series goes to court: Famous author files lawsuit
The phenomenon series Eşref Rüya has been in the news constantly due to allegations of plagiarism. A Wattpad writer named "Duru Mavii" previously announced that he would exercise his legal rights due to the similarities between his work "Ateşten Küle" and the series' script. Following the incident, author Murat Menteş announced that he would file a lawsuit against copyright and plagiarism.
Eşraf Rüya, a series that breaks viewing records with every episode, is in trouble with allegations of stolen scripts.
This time, writer Murat Menteş filed a lawsuit against the series starring Demet Özdemir and Çağatay Ulusoy.
Menteş, in a statement, announced that he would exercise his legal rights over the alleged citation of Eşref Rüya, the series' adaptation of the film "Dehşet Bey," produced by 03 Medya and starring Barış Arduç and Hande Erçel. He also announced that a "copyright and plagiarism lawsuit" had been filed against the series' producers, Tims&B and Ethem Özışık.
