He killed his mother and seriously injured his father

M. Ateş, who allegedly has been suffering from psychological problems for about two years in the Turgut Özal Neighborhood of Kulp district of Diyarbakır, argued with his mother and father at home for an unknown reason. When the argument escalated, M. Ateş became angry and shot his mother, Fener Ateş, and father, Necat Ateş, several times with the gun he had on him. While the elderly couple collapsed to the ground covered in blood, health teams and police arrived at the scene upon receiving a report of gunshots.

During the checks, it was determined that mother Fener Ateş had lost her life. After the first intervention of the health teams, father Necat Ateş was taken to Kulp Dr. Abdullah Biroğlu State Hospital by ambulance. After the first intervention in the hospital, he was transferred to Dicle University Medical Faculty Hospital. Father Ateş, whose life is in danger, continues to be treated in the intensive care unit. M. Ateş, who killed his mother and seriously injured his father, surrendered to the police with the gun he used in the incident. Kulp Republic Prosecutor's Office has launched an investigation into the incident.
