Born in Istanbul on March 11, 1949, Cezmi Baskın is a Turkish stage , film , and television actor, as well as a director. Baskın began his acting career as an amateur at the Bakırköy Community Center, where he gained acting experience as an intern.
The artist, who completed his university education at the Istanbul Academy of Economic and Commercial Sciences, later received professional theater training at the LCC Language and Culture Center, where Ayla Algan and Beklan Algan taught.
After joining the Group Players in the early years of his career, Baskın performed at the Ankara Art Theatre and the State Theatre. He served at the Ankara Art Theatre for many years, continuing his artistic production at the institution without interruption, except during periods of military service and mandatory city moves. He also contributed to the development of young actors as an instructor.
