Upon receiving the report, the gendarmerie boat that went to help approached the pontoon and brought the three people safely to land.

9 PEOPLE ON SEA BIKE WERE DRIVED OUT INTO THE OCCASION BY THE WIND

At 19:45, 9 people on a pedal boat and two pontoons attached to it were dragged out to sea by the wind. Three people in the group that were in danger of capsizing were taken directly to the boat, while the others were directed to a safe area. The dolphin-type pedal boats and the pontoons were pulled to the lakeside by gendarmerie teams.

INTERVENTION TO 4 PEOPLE WHO SET OUT WITH A SUP BOAT

Acting on another report at the same minutes, the teams rescued four people, including a child, on a SUP (Stand Up Paddle) boat while they were having difficulty staying afloat.

ALONE WATER ATHLETE IN THE OUTDOOR WAS ALSO RESCUED

At around 20.10, another person who was stranded alone off the lake was brought ashore by a gendarmerie boat.

'WEAR A LIFE JACKET, CONSIDER THE WIND'

Authorities announced that 17 people who were in mortal danger in the lake were safely rescued in about 2 hours and warned citizens after the incidents. In the statement made by the Gendarmerie, it was stated that the common mistakes of citizens in the incidents that were intervened were determined as follows:

"Not checking the weather and wind conditions, assuming that the open sea is as calm as the shores, not using life jackets or life buoys, acting recklessly despite thinking they are good swimmers, not knowing the capacity of the vehicles they use, setting out with more people than their capacity, taking risks thinking 'someone will save them anyway', not carrying a communication device or GPS."

In the statement, it was emphasized that citizens should use such equipment and make the necessary checks before setting out on the lake in order to avoid similar situations.
