Elderly couple died after being poisoned by gas leaking from a stove in Samsun
The incident took place in Menekşe Street, Liman Neighborhood, İlkadım district.
According to the information received, Muharrem Bulut (76) and Saliha Kütükçü (71), who live on the ground floor of a 4-storey building, were poisoned by carbon monoxide gas leaking from the stove in their house. The lifeless bodies of the elderly couple, who were sleeping in the same room in the evening and who had set up the stove yesterday, were found by their son Alaiddin Bulut (50), who lives in the same house. Alaiddin Bulut, who entered the room where his mother and father were sleeping in the morning, saw one of them on the floor and the other lying motionless on the sofa. When the situation was reported to the 112 Emergency Call Center, the healthcare teams who arrived at the scene determined that the elderly couple had lost their lives. After the examination, the elderly couple's lifeless bodies were taken to the Forensic Medicine Institute. It was learned that the elderly couple, who had previously divorced and were continuing to live together, had cancer. An investigation has been launched into the incident.
