Fight for survival on a rubber boat: 43 illegal immigrants rescued from sinking at the last minute
According to a statement on the Coast Guard Command's website, a Coast Guard ship was directed to the region after receiving information that a rubber boat carrying irregular migrants off the coast of the district was in danger of sinking due to water ingress and a request for assistance was made.
The teams rescued 43 irregular migrants, 13 of whom were children, from a rubber boat that had taken in water.
After their procedures, irregular migrants were sent to the Provincial Directorate of Migration Management.
