Life and death struggle in Antalya! Buried in the ground up to his neck

A landslide during sewer pipe laying work in the Konyaaltı district of Antalya determined the fine line between life and death for 33-year-old worker Eyüp Taşlı. The soil that suddenly collapsed during the work swallowed Taşlı up to his neck at a depth of 4 meters, while his colleague working next to him was saved at the last minute.
The incident occurred at around 14:00 in the area known as 'Küçükdağ' on Boğaçay Street in Hurma Neighborhood of Konyaaltı district. During the work carried out in the channel where the sewage pipes were placed, a cave-in occurred. One of the workers, Eyüp Taşlı, was trapped under the ground up to his neck at a depth of 4 meters, while his friend was saved at the last moment.
Teams were dispatched to the area upon notification. In the meantime, two of his friends went down to Eyüp Taşlı and tried to calm him down by cleaning the soil from his face and neck so that he could breathe easily. While the AFAD and fire department teams that arrived carried out the rescue operation, the health team gave Taşlı oxygen support. In the meantime, a friend who came upon hearing the news of the incident had a nervous breakdown when he saw Eyüp Taşlı. Taşlı's friend was calmed down by the teams.
After two hours of work, the teams pulled Taşlı's leg out of the ground, rescued him with a rope and took him to a safe point. Eyüp Taşlı was then taken on a stretcher and taken to Akdeniz University Hospital by ambulance.
