Six suspects are on trial in the knife fight that led to the death of Eyüp Arıcı in Gaziantep.

Six defendants appeared before a judge for the first time in the case filed regarding the death of 17-year-old Eyüp Arıcı , who died in a knife fight in Gaziantep on February 9th. In a closed-door hearing, the court ordered the continued detention of the defendants in custody and the remand of three defendants who were not in custody. Following the hearing, the family called for justice.
The hearing, which began yesterday at noon at the Gaziantep 1st High Criminal Court, was attended by defendants EAK and ASP, who were not in custody, defendants KB, MFK, and MTY, who are under 18, and defendant İ.E.Ö., who is not in custody. Eyüp Arıcı's family and the lawyers for both sides were also present in the courtroom. Because the defendants are under 18, the hearing was held behind closed doors.
At the hearing, which lasted until midnight, the court ruled that the defendants currently in custody be kept in custody and that the three defendants who were being tried without detention be remanded in custody. The case was adjourned until September 3 .
Speaking in front of the courthouse, father Ömer Arıcı said, "We know my son was stabbed multiple times. We want all of these murderers to receive severe punishment. Justice must be served." Cousin Sena Arıcı said, "We dreamed of sending him to university, but now we've sent him to the ground. We're waiting for a precedent-setting decision."
As you may recall, Eyüp Arıcı, who was seriously injured in a knife fight that broke out in the Atatürk Neighborhood on February 9, died in the hospital to which he was taken.
