2 men struck by car while riding e-scooter

Two men are in hospital recovering from serious injuries after getting hit by a car while riding together on an e-scooter.

Police say the incident happened on Monday shortly before 11:40 p.m. in the area of Wharncliffe Road South and Becher Street.

Officers arrived to find two men with serious injuries. They had been riding together on an e-scooter when they were struck by a car. The vehicle remained at the scene.

Police are asking anyone who was in the area between 11:20 p.m. and 11:50 p.m. and has business, home, or dash-cam footage to contact them.
