Driver sends London police on high-speed chase after being clocked doing 148 km/h

A London man faces a number of charges after police clocked him travelling down Exeter Road in a pickup truck at 148 kilometres an hour on Monday evening.
The 21-year-old didn't stop when police put on their emergency lights, but instead ran the red light at Wharncliffe Road South and sped up, police said.
He stopped eventually, but didn't put the vehicle in park. When he exited, police said the truck rolled foward and hit a police cruiser causing minor damage.
Police alleged the man was intoxicated and had made illegal modifications to the pickup.
He is charged with:
- Dangerous operation of a vehicle.
- Impaired operation of a vehicle.
- Impaired exceed blood alcohol concentration.
- Failure to stop for police.
- Race a motor vehicle.
- Colour coating obscuring interior; and
- Fail to signal for turn.
The accused is expected to appear in a London court house later next month.
