Listen to why these Londoners love Monday mornings

Listen to why these Londoners love Monday mornings

What started with a handful of people singing songs 25 years ago has grown into a weekly gathering of sometimes 100 musicians.

The Monday Morning Music Club, run through L'Arche London, is geared toward people with developmental and intellectual disabilities.

What's emerged from the quarter century of weekly jam sessions is simple, and extends beyond learning lyrics and hitting the notes, participants explained to London Morning's Andrew Brown when he popped by.

Quoting from one of the club's favourite songs, "the more we get together, the happier we'll be," participant Jim said.

The Monday Morning Music Club is an inclusive space that let's everyone share the joy of music. This year the Monday Morning Music club is celebrating 25 years, and London Morning Host Andrew Brown stopped by a session to meet L'Arche music facilitator Laurel Martin and some of the singers.
