M11 traffic LIVE: Major motorway closed as 'serious' crash sparks 90-minute delays
A huge crash has closed a large stretch of the M11, with drivers being warned of 90-minute delays during rush hour. National Highways is warning drivers of "severe disruption" on the M11 southbound between Junction 6 (M25) and Junction 4 (A406) following a "serious" overnight collision just after Junction 5 (Chigwell).
It added all three running lanes are closed and will require require resurfacing works before they can be reopened. Traffic is currently being managed via the hard shoulder. National highways added: "Significant disruption is expected to continue throughout the morning peak period and may impact journeys towards central London and the A406 North Circular."
