Ukraine LIVE: Trump sides with Russia in crucial vote as he sends warning to Zelensky

Donald Trump has deepened divisions with European allies by refusing to condemn Russia for its invasion of Ukraine in key UN votes.
The US sided with Russia in rejecting a European-backed resolution demanding Moscow withdraw troops, then abstained when its own watered-down version was amended to blame Russia.
Mr Trump has also warned Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to negotiate or risk losing his country, having previously called him a “dictator” for not holding wartime elections - a word he then refused to apply to Russian President Vladimir Putin.
The votes came as Mr Trump hosted French President Emmanuel Macron, with British Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer set to visit next.
Meanwhile, Russia blocked European amendments to a US Security Council resolution, leaving it effectively powerless but hailed by Washington as a “crucial step” toward peace.
