Westminster Bridge closed due to 'police incident' as cops rush to Central London
Westminster Bridge in Central London has been closed due to a police incident.
Dramatic images show that a police cordon is in place with the bridge eerily lying empty during rush hour. Two ambulances are parked in the middle of the bridge with police officers spotted conducting enquires.
The nature of the incident is currently unknown, 12 bus routes have been affected.

The bridge has been cordoned off with two ambulances parked in the middle.
The below map shows the bridge closure, traffic in the area appears to be coping well.

The bridge is closed both ways between A3211 Victoria Embankment and Lambeth Palace Road.
It is estimated the bridge has been closed for three hours.
