Aldi has issued an urgent 'do not eat' warning as it recalls a popular chocolate snack over fears of a serious 'health risk'.
The discount supermarket's Dairyfine Crispy Choc Um's have been taken off the shelves as they may contain peanuts.
Customers have been asked to return any packets they have to their nearest Aldi store in exchange for a refund.
The health warning relates to the 121g pack size with any best-before date and covers England, Scotland and Wales.
A spokesman for the Food Standards Agency (FSA) said: 'As a precautionary measure, Aldi is recalling Dairyfine Crispy Choc Um's because the product may contain peanuts.
'This means the product is a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy to peanuts.
'Aldi is recalling the product from customers and has contacted the relevant allergy support organisations, which will tell their members about the recall.
'The company has also issued a point-of-sale notice to its customers.
'These notices explain to customers why the product is being recalled and tell them what to do if they have bought the product.'

Nut allergy charity Anaphylaxis UK responded to the news, saying: 'We have been alerted by Aldi that it is recalling Dairyfine Crispy Choc Um's from sale because they may contain peanuts which is not correctly declared on the ingredient label.
'The product is therefore unsuitable for and should be avoided by anyone with an allergy or intolerance to peanuts
'If you have bought the above product and have an allergy or intolerance to peanuts do not eat it and return to your nearest Aldi store for a full refund.'
