BBC Breakfast viewers issue same complaint as Angela Rayner dealt humiliating blow

Charlie Stayt and Naga Munchetty returned to BBC Breakfast on Friday as Angela Rayner's political future hangs in the balance after she admitted she did not pay enough stamp duty when purchasing her £800,000 flat in Hove, East Sussex, sparking calls for her to resign. Sir Keir Starmer has declined to say if he will sack the deputy prime minister, should an investigation find she broke the ministerial code, but said he would act on the findings of his independent standards adviser.
The BBC Breakfast hosts were joined by Labour's Minister of State for Trade Policy, Douglas Alexander, who addressed the deputy minister's future in the Party. But Breakfast viewers complained minutes into the interview after they suggested the minister failed to answer Charlie's question as Angela was dealt an humiliating blow. One penned: "FFS Charlie, stop asking them same questions and expect different answers. He ain’t gonna answer you. Angela needs to be fired and fired today #BBCBreakfast."
