Dancing on Ice fans call for dangerous move to be 'banned' moments into ITV show

The five remaining couples battled it out for a place in the semi-finals of Dancing on Ice this evening - but just minutes into the ITV show, fans made the same complaint. Taking to social media, viewers at home shared their concerns over a "dangerous" move known as the headbanger.
The worried comments came as Molly Pearce, from BBC's The Traitors, took to the ice with her professional skating partner Colin Grafton. This week was musicals week and it saw the couple dance to a Mamma Mia number.
Their performance saw Colin lift Mollie several times before spinning her around with her head dangerously close to the ice in the infamous move. They received scores from the judges with three nines and one 8.5 meaning they totalled 35.5.
Speaking to Holly Willoughby after the scoring, Mollie admitted: "It was amazing. I mean it's all thanks to Colin because I trust him so much."
While the judges seemed impressed with the move, fans online bashed it as "dangerous". One viewer wrote: "I do not like the headbanger. That thing should be banned #dancingonice."
Another added: "That headbanger had me screaming to stop! #dancingonice #DOI," while a third echoed: "Nothing clever about a headbanger. Someone will die one day through this unnecessary risk. #dancingonice."
One more shared: "#DancingOnIce hate the headbanger though... cant bear it such a risk."
However, some fans applauded the move, agreeing with the judges with someone writing: "#DancingOnIce What an opening skate to a new week, You performed absolutely incredible loads of energy and flow across the ice all we need is some more solo skating from Mollie and that will get her a higher score! Loved the headbanger well done."
