Noel and Liam Gallagher reunite for first time since announcing Oasis tour

For the first time since announcing their reunion tour, Oasis brothers Noel and Liam Gallagher sent fans into a frenzy as they were photographed together for a special announcement. In August 2024, the duo sparked a worldwide meltdown as they revealed they had squashed their feud and were heading back on tour together after a 20-year hiatus.
With 35 dates across the UK, Ireland, Australia, South America, and Asia, ticketholders have been eager to hear more from the sibling before the shows kick off in Cardiff next month, which is why many tuned in to watch their 9 p.m. "special announcement" on Channel 4. The duo appeared on screen momentarily during a special advert break, with the pair looking sternly and motionless into the camera for their promo with Adidas clothing.
In the promo, the band's 1994 anthem Live Forever played with nostalgic scenes reminiscent of the band's early gigs, with fans dressed in new Adidas pieces boasting the band's famous logo.
Fans then saw a glimpse of Liam and Noel heading on stage to play a gig, before the final hard-hitting shot of the ad, which featured the pair reunited and posing together.
Before this campaign, the only new images of Liam and Noel were from a promotional shoot to announce the Oasis tour, which sent longtime fans into a similar meltdown.
However, this announcement didn't come without initial confusion as many took to social media to admit they were baffled when they tuned into Channel 4 at the right time, but were instead met with the broadcaster's star-studded game show, Taskmaster.
Uproar flooded X, formerly known as Twitter, as fans wrote: "Err… why am I watching Taskmaster?" As another speculated: "We've been scammed." A third questioned: "What’s gone wrong? Where is the release?" Meanwhile, seeing the funny side, a fourth joked: "Taskmaster’s ratings will be through the roof!"
In addition to dropping the advert on social media, the band's official X account teased: "10am tomorrow Spinningfields, Manchester," as they shared a surprise link to a site detailing upcoming fan stores in Manchester, London, Birmingham, Cardiff, Dublin, and Edinburgh.
As of today (June 19), only the Manchester link is live, as the website invites fans to book a spot by selecting dates from the end of June through July and then picking a 30-minute window for their visit to the stores.
This comes after the band teased the campaign earlier today with an announcement, featuring a video with the Oasis logo and the sound of fan chants in the background. "Original Forever. All will be revealed. Channel 4, 9pm."
