Kelly Osbourne has spoken out following the heartbreaking loss of her father, Ozzy Osbourne, earlier this week.

The Black Sabbath icon, affectionately known as The Prince of Darkness to his legion of fans, had been grappling with health issues in recent years. He performed his final concert just weeks before his passing.

Ozzy's death at 76 on Tuesday, July 22, left his wife Sharon utterly bereft, mourning not only her husband but also her best friend. Ozzy's sisters have expressed their sorrow over their brother's demise, remembering him as "loving and funny".

In a statement, the Osbourne family, including Ozzy's wife Sharon and their children Kelly, Aimee, and Jack, said: "It is with more sadness than mere words can convey that we have to report that our beloved Ozzy Osbourne has passed away this morning.

"He was with his family and surrounded by love. We ask everyone to respect our family privacy at this time. Sharon, Jack, Kelly, Aimee and Louis.", reports The Mirror.

Moving tributes have also come from Ozzy's former Black Sabbath bandmates.

Two days after Ozzy's passing, Kelly shared lyrics from the Black Sabbath song "Changes" on her Instagram Stories. This poignant tribute harks back to a cherished father-daughter moment.

"Changes," a track Ozzy Osbourne penned with his Black Sabbath bandmates, originally graced the airwaves in 1972. Fast forward to 2003, Ozzy and his daughter Kelly reimagined the song as a heartfelt duet, tweaking the lyrics to echo their personal connection.

The revamped tune soared to the top of the U.K. charts, making them only the second father-daughter duo to achieve this feat since Frank and Nancy Sinatra's chart-topper in 1967.

Kelly has recently taken to Instagram to express her profound grief, posting: "I feel unhappy I am so sad," on Thursday, July 24. "I lost the best friend I ever had."

Devastated admirers have been paying homage to the star at his Buckinghamshire residence, leaving bouquets and heartfelt notes at the gates. In a poignant tribute, half-finished pints and beer bottles are placed among candles, as fans raise a glass to the rock legend at Birmingham's Black Sabbath bridge.

A confidant disclosed to People magazine details about Ozzy's final days, revealing, "Ozzy's final days were spent in England, surrounded by family, music and in the place he called home. He was in peace."
