Sabrina Carpenter Wore Cher's Studio 54-Era Dress to Her VMAs 2025 After-Party — See Photos

If you thought Bretman Rock wearing Aaliyah's dress to the VMAs in 2021 was iconic, you're going to want to be seated for Sabrina Carpenter's VMAs 2025 after-party look as well.
In case you didn't tune into the actual ceremony on September 7, Sabrina Carpenter was among the most-nominated artists for the VMAs 2025 and ended up taking home three Moon Person awards during the night, including Best Pop Artist and Best Album. The star also took the stage as one of the many performers of the night, putting on a rendition of “Tears,” off her new album Man's Best Friend.
Carpenter might have had a great night musically speaking, but she also had a great night in terms of sartorial style. The star had a total of three outfit changes during the VMAs ceremony, rocking a custom Valentino red lace gown by Alessandro Michele on the red carpet, a vintage showgirl bra from Lidow to perform (post-reveal), and a 1986 embellished cocktail dress from Bob Mackie to receive her awards.
However, her most iconic dress of the night arrived long after the ceremony had wrapped up, when she was spotted en route to her very own Studio 54-themed Sabrina 54 after-party, in partnership with Amazon Music. The star arrived at her after-party venue in Manhattan, paying the highest homage to Studio 54: rocking an original Bob Mackie confection first worn by none other than Cher 50 years ago.
