5.5 magnitude earthquake felt in Andalusia and Murcia
Spain's National Geographic Institute has recorded a 5.5 magnitude earthquake with its epicentre in the Mediterranean, near the Cabo de Palos area of Murcia.
The quake was felt in the provinces of Almería, Granada, Málaga, and Jaén, as well as Murcia .
The earthquake occurred at 7.13 am this Monday. There are no reports of damage so far, according to Spain's Geographic Institute, even in Almería where the earthquake was felt the most.
Residents of Almería and Granada received an alert on their cell phones seconds after the earthquake. Spanish emergency services received around 150 calls from Andalusia and Murcia.

Andalusia, Valencia and Catalonia account for more than half of all tourist accommodation in Spain, with a total of 216,217 units, new data has shown.
If the Balearic and Canary Islands are included, just five regions account for almost 80 percent of all tourist accommodation in the country, according to figures from Spain’s National Statistics Institute (INE).
Andalusia is the region with the most tourist homes, 96,176 in total and 6.4 percent more than in the previous edition, also the highest figure onn record. On a provincial level, the highest number was in Málaga, with 48,412 tourist dwellings.
Tourists in Spain set their sights on September
Hotel bookings in Spain suggest that tourists are increasingly looking to September, new figures show.
According to data from TravelGateX, hotel bookings are shifting towards September and now account for 23.37 percent of all reservations, followed by those planned for August, which remain strong at 18 percent.
September is currently the month with the most bookings overall, Cadena Ser reports. In the case of group travel, the percentage rises to 31 percent. For those travelling alone, last-minute bookings are the most popular, accounting for 19 percent of the total.
Andalusia, Catalonia, the Balearic Islands and the Canary Islands are the most popular destinations, where 51 percent of stays lasting between 2 and 5 nights.
Spain's Carlos Alcaraz loses Wimbledon final to Italy's Sinner
Jannik Sinner downed defending champion Carlos Alcaraz 4-6, 6-4, 6-4, 6-4 on Sunday to win his first Wimbledon title, gaining sweet revenge for his painful defeat in the French Open final.
The world number one is the first Italian to win at the All England Club and now has four Grand Slams to his name at the age of 23.
Sinner stayed ice cool after losing the first set, with the momentum quickly shifting, and wrapped up victory in a shade over three hours.
He had squandered three championship points in the final at Roland Garros five weeks ago but this time made no mistake as he served out for victory.
