Tonys 2025: Mia Farrow and Ronan Farrow Have a Rare Mother-Son Outing

The 2025 Tony Awards is the perfect outing for Mia Farrow and her baby.
After all, the actress had her and ex Woody Allen’s son Ronan Farrow by her side at the 78th annual ceremony on June 8.
Mia—who was nominated in the Best Actress in a Play category for The Roommate—posed on the red carpet at Radio City Music Hall in an all-cream suit with matching boots and a silver clutch. Meanwhile, the journalist complemented his mom in an all-black ensemble.
Although it was Sarah Snook who took home the award for her performance in The Picture of Dorian Gray, Ronan proved he’ll always be his mom’s biggest fan. As he gushed on Instagram alongside a behind-the-scenes video, “Very proud of her.”
And his excitement for Mia isn’t lost on him, as he captioned the sweet post, “At the Tony Awards momaging my mom.” (See all the stars here.)
The 37-year-old also knows he had a hand in bringing the Rosemary’s Baby star back to the spotlight after stepping away for nearly a decade.
“I look at a career like my moms and she’s such an incredible talent,” he told Variety in January. “I run into directors and writers in my generation who are obsessed with her body of work and want her to share that and share her talent. Understandably, she has gone through periods of time where she’s reluctant to come back to it.”
He admitted that getting her to take the leap once again “did take some conversation.”
And luckily, Ronan said Mia’s performance onstage opposite Patti LuPone has received an outpouring of love.
“So many actors came up to me and said, ‘It’s one of the great performance,'” he shared. “I am happy to say that, while I did gently nudge her and said, ‘I’ll read the script and if it’s good then it’s worth doing,’ she is now in a place that if it’s the right thing and a rich, fulfilling part then she’ll say yes. That’s a gift for all of us.”
For Mia’s part, getting her nomination was something she never imagined and immediately thought of her mom Maureen O’Sullivan.
“I certainly didn’t consider the possibility of that,” she said of the recognition to Deadline in June. “I started crying, you know? I think I was pretty overwhelmed by the nomination itself, and I just thought of how happy she would’ve been and how happy I was. There was something unreal about it.
