If you're looking for a destination in Hesse that combines nature, fresh air, and a little adventure, then a treetop walk is the perfect place for you. There, you'll be a little closer to heaven.
Treetop walkways are special structures that allow you to stroll through treetops at dizzying heights. They also offer panoramic views of the sometimes expansive natural areas that spread out below you like a tranquil sea of green.
The travel reporter introduces you to several of these airy paths, on which you can discover the forests and other sights in Hesse not from below, but from above.
Immerse yourself in a fascinating world high up in the trees: The Treetop Walk in Bad Camberg offers an approximately 800-meter-long discovery tour through the impressive treetops of the Hintertaunus. Ramps and stairs take you up to 31 meters, where a view awaits you that extends far beyond the forest.
There are interesting stops along the trail where you'll learn fascinating facts about the forest and its inhabitants. Although the trail isn't completely accessible, this excursion is a highlight for anyone who wants to experience nature firsthand. Your dog, on a leash, is welcome to accompany you.

The region's first TreeTopWalk was built not far from a wildlife park on Lake Edersee. The treetop walk at Lake Edersee blends gently into the forest landscape and allows visitors to experience the forest's diversity in depth. The TreeTopWalk concept, along with an accompanying squirrel trail, is complemented by the nature park's educational offerings, such as guided tours.
Strict nature conservation guidelines were observed during the implementation of the TreeTopWalk, ensuring it represents a nature-based recreational activity. Those responsible for this project, as with other similar projects, are committed to nature conservation and aim to raise awareness of the need for reforestation. Their goal is to make nature accessible to guests in an innovative way.
