Luis Armando Reynoso López , son of the former governor of Aguascalientes , Luis Armando Reynoso Femat, died in an accident today, Friday, August 8, 2025.

The accident occurred on the Aguascalientes-León highway at kilometer 85, near the Encarnación de Díaz toll booth, in Jalisco.

Luis Armando Reynoso López died along with his fiancée María Paulina Ibarra when the vehicle they were traveling in overturned on the highway.

Luis Armando Reynoso López and María Paulina Ibarra were traveling together at the time of the accident.

The driver and escort traveling with them, identified as Miguel Ángel González Contreras, was reported seriously injured and was transferred by Force 1 helicopter to Hidalgo Hospital.

The cause of the accident is still under investigation, but the preliminary line of inquiry is excessive speed on wet asphalt due to rain in the area.
