On Sunday, June 22, at around 4:30 a.m., a newlywed couple was celebrating their wedding in the village of Goult, in the Vaucluse department of France, when a group of men attacked them with firearms.
According to the preliminary report from local authorities, the incident occurred as the victims and some of their guests were preparing to leave the town hall after the party ended.

The events occurred at the Venancio Díaz Díaz Hospital in Sabaneta, Antioquia.
At that same moment, the attackers arrived at the scene in a vehicle, their faces covered, and opened fire on the couple, leaving three people seriously injured, including the husband and a 13-year-old child.
However, the gunshot wounds that struck the bride, a young woman from the city of Apt, killed her instantly . The groom survived but had to be rushed to a medical center for treatment of his injuries.

According to Avignon prosecutor Florence Galtier, one of the men who went to the town hall to attack the newlywed couple was also killed , but the circumstances remain unclear.
In this regard, authorities are considering the theory of a possible error on the part of his companions, suggesting that the offender could have been killed in the middle of the shootout or run over by the couple's vehicle, as they attempted to escape.

While the investigation has so far yielded no information about the motive for the attack, police have not ruled out the possibility of a drug-related settling of scores .
For its part, the National Gendarmerie announced that it will be supporting the operations with the deployment of special units, sniffer dogs, and helicopters to locate those responsible.
