Dordogne: Fire in Sceau-Saint-Angel brought under control overnight: 20 hectares burned

Firefighters from the Dordogne and Charente departments, who came to provide support, worked for much of the evening and night of Friday, July 11, to fight a fire that broke out in the forest in the commune of Sceau-Saint-Angel. A forest fire burned 20 hectares of vegetation and a ruined barn, and several hundred hectares were threatened. National air resources dropped retardant. While the origin of the fire is still unknown, firefighters remained on the scene all morning to monitor for any possible resumption of the flames.
