Thai military accuses Cambodia of violating ceasefire

The Thai military accused Cambodia on Tuesday, July 29, of violating the ceasefire and said that clashes had continued despite it having come into effect earlier at 00:00 (17:00 GMT Monday). "After the ceasefire was declared, disturbances were reported in the Phu Makua area, caused by the Cambodian side, which led to an exchange of fire between the two sides that continued until this morning," Ritcha Suksuwanon, deputy spokesperson for the Thai military, wrote in a statement.
