In search of olfactory authenticity, this Parisian boutique, prized among purists for its workwear, has developed its own scents.
It's a woody, dry, and powerful patchouli that goes well with the unique atmosphere created by Pierre Fournier in his Marais boutique. " The wood of the counter and shelves absorbed the smells of leather and clothes coming out of the workshops... Often, people who crossed the threshold would already tell us that the place smelled good ," jokes his partner Charles Nousse.
Since 1994, Anatomica has built its reputation by importing treasures from the United States, England, and Japan ( Alden shoes, John Smedley cardigans , Brady satchels), but also by manufacturing its own pieces inspired by work clothes and their "anatomical" cuts that follow the body's movements. " We borrow a lot from the nostalgia and memory of these clothes, which had to be both elegant and functional, comfortable and robust, and it is with this same approach that we designed our perfumes. With beautiful materials and lots of natural essences ."
