An urgent call for blood donation
The EFS (French Blood Establishment) is short of blood. Currently, the EFS considers its reserves to be “fragile.” While donations are decreasing, the need is not diminishing. Especially since blood cannot be stored for very long.
The EFS has limited supplies, with significant disparities between blood types. Blood type O has been in critically short supply for weeks.
The next blood drive will take place on Friday, August 22, from 3 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., at the Prauthoy community center.
The association is therefore making an urgent request to anyone between the ages of 18 and 70 who weighs more than 50 kg. A medical interview will determine whether blood donation is possible.
