Walks, visits, water activities... A lively August in Casseneuil

Walks, visits, aquatic activities, lyric festival, gourmet markets and beach party: Casseneuil offers an August rich in events
August will be a lively month in Casseneuil, with a variety of events that will delight residents and visitors alike. Activities include sophro-naturo walks on August 12 and 26, punctuated by botanical discoveries, led by naturopath Audrey Cavelier and sophrologist Véronique Deparpe.
Tours of Casseneuil also continue on August 12 and 26. Led by local storyteller Gérard Fillol, they are open to all. Tours of the remains of the Livradaise gunpowder mill project are also offered on August 13 and 27, allowing visitors to discover some of the local and national history with Gérard Fillol.
A program that runs along the waterWater activities are also organized, such as barge rides, from August 13 to 29, on La Barguelonne, with two departures, at 10 and 11 a.m. Also worth discovering is paddleboarding, from August 13 to 27. The concept: "take the Lède aboard a paddleboard, to allow relaxation to the rhythm of the water."
The public can also enjoy canoe tours on the Lot River until August 28, followed by a tour of the Lou Gaillot estate, with a tasting. On August 15, another canoeing activity focused on heritage and biodiversity will also be offered. "An adventure discovering architectural heritage and unspoiled nature," announce the organizers.
The Lyric Festival will offer an evening of Baroque passions on August 14, under the direction of Jérôme Correas, with a quartet from the ensemble Les Paladins and the voices of soprano Julia Wischniewski and mezzo-soprano Éléonore Pancrazi.
Lovers of gastronomy and local produce can enjoy the upcoming gourmet markets, which run until August 23, featuring local producers. To round off the summer, a beach party is being held on August 22, during an evening at the outdoor bar with a DJ, starting at 7:30 p.m., on Quai des Gabarres. Finally, by reservation, wellness-themed activities take place every Friday morning at the Trois Rivières holiday village.
