Dazn acquires rights to broadcast Serie A and highlights in key markets

As the Club World Cup continues, DAZN has reached an agreement to acquire exclusive and non-exclusive rights to the main competitions of the Lega Serie A (Serie A, Coppa Italia and Supercoppa Italiana) in key international markets, strengthening its long-standing partnership with the top flight in Italy and its portfolio of premium football rights. For the 2025-26 season, the global live streaming and sports entertainment platform will broadcast all Serie A matches in the UK, Ireland and the US (in Spanish only – including US territories and the Caribbean). It will also hold the rights to highlights of Serie A, Coppa Italia and Supercoppa Italiana in most of the global markets in which it is present. This transaction is part of DAZN's strategy to expand its portfolio of premium football rights globally.
In the new markets, Dazn will offer great Italian football to an ever-increasing number of fans, broadcasting all 10 matches scheduled for each matchday, through specific modalities depending on the country: in the United Kingdom and Ireland exclusive rights for up to eight matches for each round of the championship, with two matches in co-exclusive. More than 300 matches will be broadcast live in full, with the exception of matches played in the Saturday blackout window in the United Kingdom and Ireland which cannot be broadcast live in full. This represents an important first for Dazn in a market, that of the United Kingdom, where for the first time a major European football competition will be available live for the British public. In the United States (in Spanish only – including US territories and the Caribbean) five matches per round in exclusive and five in co-exclusive, with programming designed to maximize access for the Latin public. All matches will be broadcast live.
In addition to live coverage of Serie A, DAZN has acquired the rights to highlights of the Italian top flight, Coppa Italia and Supercoppa Italiana in almost every country in the world. Highlights will be available at least one hour after the final whistle, with two or three-minute clips per match, depending on the territory. The new territories announced today join those already covered by previous international agreements signed in Spain, Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Japan, where DAZN will broadcast Serie A until 2027. "Serie A is one of the most prestigious football leagues. Our partnership with the League has continued to grow, especially since DAZN became the main national broadcaster of the championship, starting from 2021-22" said Pete Oliver, CEO of Growth Markets at DAZN. "This agreement consolidates our position as a global football platform, expanding our presence in Europe and the Americas, and offering fans unparalleled access to Italian football, right during the Club World Cup. From Napoli to Milan, from Roma to Juventus, fans want Italian football and Dazn is ready to offer it."
