Ada Negri School of Udine in celebration: a journey between art and community

Ada Negri School of Udine in celebration: a journey between art and community
1

On Tuesday, June 3, the courtyard of the Ada Negri primary school in Udine was transformed into a lively stage for “In viaggio con l'Ada Negri”. The show celebrated an educational journey carried out in the name of inclusion, well-being and culture, underlining the vision of the school principal Guido Zoncu. The day of celebration was also attended by the Councilor for Education and Culture Federico Pirone who underlined the importance of investing in the new generations through activities dedicated to the environment, civic education and art.

A highlight was the unveiling of four decorative ceramic works, the result of a valuable collaboration between the second and third grade students of Ada Negri and the students of the Sello art high school, also represented by the principal Rossella Rizzatto. The children created drawings inspired by the poet Ada Negri, after whom the school is named, and four of these were selected and transformed into permanent tiles for the entrance to the institute.

The show continued with a musical moment dedicated to the theme of travel and with the delivery of diplomas to the fifth-grade students. There was no shortage of thanks to the architect Francesco Pellizzari for the creation of ecological planters in recycled materials, a symbol of the school's "green will". The event concluded with a choral song, a wish for the children to continue dreaming and building a better world, as a testimony of a lively school that educates with heart and intelligence.
