The Stazione Zoologica Anton Dohrn in Naples will receive funding of 17,505,458 euros from the Ordinary Fund for Research Bodies and Institutions (Foe) for 2025, an increase of 245,195 euros compared to the previous year. The amount is part of the distribution of the Foe signed by the Minister of University and Research, Anna Maria Bernini, which allocates a total of 1,485,883,600 euros for the operation of the 11 public research bodies supervised by the Mur and for other strategic initiatives. The president of Stazione Zoologica Anton Dohrn, Roberto Bassi, states: “The funds will contribute to the recruitment and return of brains from abroad aimed at raising the level of our technology, especially to the Department of Biotechnology which must be the spearhead for the advancement of methods for environmental analysis and for industrial applications. This implementation is now essential to allow researchers from other departments to be able to effectively carry out experimental verification of the hypotheses developed from environmental observations”.
