StraBassotti 2025 in Monza Park: the dog-friendly foot race returns on Sunday 8 June
Monza, June 6, 2025 – On Sunday, June 8, 2025, Monza Park will host the sixth edition of StraBassotti , the non-competitive foot race most loved by dachshund enthusiasts (and not only). The appointment is Sunday at 8 am in Viale Mirabello, near Villa Mirabello, a cross street of Viale Cavriga. In previous years, the event has gathered over thousands of participants from all over Italy at each edition, ready to walk, smile and share a day of celebration in the company of their inseparable dachshunds.
The event will be animated by many activities designed for four-legged friends and their companions: MY DOG'S TEAM ASD, a dog education and culture center, will offer fun games of playful olfactory research ; DOG SPACE Grooming will offer live demonstrations and a grooming service. There will be a veterinary service, veterinary ambulance, medical care provided by the Croce Bianca di Merate, and security service for the entire duration of the event. There will be no shortage of music thanks to the performance of the Corpo Musicale Città di Arcore, which will officially open the event with the Inno di Mameli. The Carabinieri a cavallo di Monza will accompany the march.

In the early afternoon, there will be space for the awards ceremony with recognitions for all types of dachshunds present, including:
• Special Guest Short-haired / Wire-haired / Long-haired Dachshund (male and female)
• Dachshund Member Cuor di Pelo (male and female)
• Dachshund Differently Dachshund
• Differently-abled Dachshund
And again, sponsor awards and special recognitions will be given.
The hospitality village will be open all day, with stands dedicated to the pet world and the handmade world : coats, bowls, leashes and much more.
How to participateRegistrations will open directly on site on Sunday 8 June starting at 8 am at the stands of the Cuor di Pelo association, located in Viale Mirabello.
Participation requires a donation of 20 euros per person, which includes:
• 1 numbered bib for the human participant
• Up to 2 numbered harnesses for accompanying dachshunds
• Gadgets and coupons offered by sponsors: Farmina, Husse, Babalu, United Pets, IBL Banca, with final prizes offered by Haqihana and Pet Tinati
