Droghei (Lazio Region): "Psycho-oncologist useful support for those living with the disease"

"Happy to have signed the Manifesto for the humanization of oncology care"
“I am truly pleased to have signed the Manifesto for the humanization of oncology care because I believe that an oncology patient is not his or her illness. He or she is a person who needs to have a lot of humanity by his or her side. I am also very interested in pursuing, across the board, the proposal for a psycho-oncologist in the Lazio Region (Regional Law proposal no. 119, ed.). The proposal aims to integrate psycho-oncologist services within the Regional Health Service, “a useful tool to better address this battle and try to truly heal”. This is what Emanuela Droghei, vice president of the Budget, Economic Planning and Participation Commission of the Lazio Region, said while speaking in Rome at the stage of the 'Non girarci intorno' tour, the awareness campaign on urothelial cancer, promoted by Merck linked to the Giro d'Italia, of which the pharmaceutical company is the official partner.
“All popular demonstrations can be a great opportunity - Droghei highlights - to raise awareness, to make known, to provide information and also to ensure that people form an opinion that can reach politics and guide it to make the right choices, truly based on the needs of citizens”, he concludes.
