Still hot in Italy this weekend, today 15 cities with red warning

The first signs of a slowdown in the record heat wave affecting Italy are visible . Even though today, Saturday 5 July, there will still be 15 cities on the red alert according to the latest bulletin issued by the Ministry of Health. A number that is down compared to 8 pm yesterday and will drop further in the following hours: on Sunday 6 July, in fact, there will only be 7 cities on maximum alert.
Red-flagged cities today and tomorrowToday the red dots expected are: Ancona, Bologna, Bolzano, Campobasso, Florence, Frosinone, Genoa, Latina, Palermo Perugia, Pescara, Rieti, Rome, Trieste and Viterbo. And also today orange dot for Cagliari, while 11 cities will be yellow dot: Bari, Brescia, Catania, Civitavecchia, Messina, Milan, Naples, Reggio Calabria, Turin, Venice and Verona.
The picture changes again tomorrow with 7 red dots (Ancona, Bologna, Campobasso, Florence, Palermo, Perugia, Pescara), 4 orange dots (Bari, Cagliari, Messina, Reggio Calabria) and 15 yellow dots (Bolzano, Brescia, Catania, Civitavecchia, Frosinone, Genoa, Latina, Milan, Naples, Rieti, Rome, Turin, Trieste, Verona and Viterbo). And the first green dot appears in days in Venice.
Weekend Weather ForecastThanks to a storm front descending from Northern Europe, the record heat of the last few days seems to be numbered. The Alps, Prealps and northern plains will be the first areas affected by a drop in temperatures over the weekend. For a more generalized change we will have to wait for the start of next week when the disturbance will also reach the Center and part of the South.
