China closes Covid-19 case: points to the United States as a possible source of the virus

The Chinese government has concluded its investigation into the origins of COVID-19 and its consequences during the pandemic. In the document recording their findings, the Chinese authorities identified the United States as one of the possible causes of the virus.
It's worth noting that the White House recently again questioned the theory that the virus originated in a Chinese laboratory in Wuhan.
Did the United States originate Covid-19?China's State Council Information Office on Wednesday released a white paper titled 'White Paper on China's Actions and Position on COVID-19 Prevention and Control and Virus Origin Tracing' , which was released through the Xinhua news agency.
In two of its three chapters, the Chinese government highlighted its contributions to the fight against the virus during the pandemic and the close relationship it maintained with the World Health Organization (WHO).
However, in the chapter “ The Mismanaged US Response to the COVID-19 Pandemic,” the negligence of the US government is pointed out.
Chinese authorities point to the United States' failure to respond to COVID-19 and blame China for originating the disease. In fact, they suggest the virus may have originated on U.S. soil.
If so, President Donald Trump's cooperation would be needed to conduct the necessary investigations and thus satisfy the international community's concerns.
However, the White House recently updated its website with information about the pandemic and maintained the virus's origin in China. " A laboratory incident related to gain-of-function research is the most likely source of COVID-19 ," U.S. officials detailed.
