Two defendants arrested for stealing high-end motorcycles on roads: this is how they operated

Two men were arrested accused of committing at least four robberies of motorcyclists on roads in the Campana and Zárate areas of Buenos Aires province. The Departmental Investigations Directorate (DDI) carried out a series of raids on Monday as part of the case involving aggravated thefts of high-end motorcycles .

According to the police report, the detainees were identified as Antonio C. and Miqueas B. During the proceedings, a 9 mm Browning pistol, a motorcycle reported stolen in April, several cell phones, and three helmets were seized.

The first robbery occurred on April 6 on Route 8, at kilometer 98 in San Andrés de Giles. Days later, on the same route but a few kilometers earlier, two people were assaulted by criminals who stole their motorcycle and helmet.

Another incident occurred at the end of April on Route 193, at the entrance to Zárate, where a motorcycle was also stolen. The latest incident, reported on Sunday, May 4, occurred at kilometer 91 of Route 8, near Solís.

In this latest incident, two men riding a red Ducati Multistrada intercepted a motorcyclist riding a Ninja 650. One of the victims recounted the incident on social media, claiming that one of the offenders threatened him with a gun.

Sources indicated that "it is presumed that those now detained are not unrelated to several motorcycle thefts that have occurred in recent weeks." The case is being handled by the 7th Investigation and Trial Prosecutor's Office and the First Court of Guarantees of Zárate-Campana. Both detainees have already been questioned.
