The Dutch Healthcare Institute is struggling with reimbursement for appetite suppressants, which can cost billions annually. In the lead-up to an advisory report on weight-loss injections by Mounjaro and Wegovy, the healthcare package manager is issuing a warning. For now, only obese patients with severe excess weight or related illnesses are eligible for reimbursement from the basic health insurance package.
