  • Funding from the "My Electricity" program is running out. As of mid-July, 82% of the funds had been used.
  • The National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management has not yet announced preparations for the next edition.
  • Funding can be obtained for the installation of PV panels or a photovoltaic micro-installation with an energy storage or heat storage.

Applications for funding under the sixth edition of the "Mój Prąd" (My Electricity) program can be submitted until October 31st or until the budget is exhausted . However, in July, the funding was utilized at 82%, with over 104,000 applications submitted.

Who can receive funding from the "My Electricity" program?

The "My Electricity" program is available to individuals who:

  • they generate electricity for their own needs,
  • have concluded a comprehensive agreement - a sales agreement for the introduction of electricity generated in the micro-installation into the grid.

Funding is provided in the form of a subsidy of up to 50% of eligible investment costs.

Funding can be obtained up to:

  • PV panel installation
  • or a photovoltaic micro-installation with an energy storage or heat storage.

The support is intended for prosumers (simultaneous producers and consumers of electricity) who incurred expenses on their photovoltaic installations after January 1, 2021.

To be eligible for the current edition of "Moje Prąd," prosumers must be billed using the net-billing system. For PV installations scheduled for grid connection from August 1, 2024, the subsidy requires that they also invest in an energy storage or heat storage facility. The subsidy for PV micro-installations with an energy storage and/or heat storage facility is up to PLN 7,000, or up to PLN 6,000 without it.

For a thermal energy storage facility with a minimum capacity of 20 dm3, prosumers can receive up to PLN 5,000 in funding, and for an electricity storage facility with a minimum capacity of 2 kWh - up to PLN 16,000 .

The sixth edition of the My Electricity program started in September 2024.

The sixth edition of the "Mój Prąd" (My Electricity) program launched on September 2nd of last year. The application deadline was extended several times, and the budget was increased . According to the latest update, applications will be accepted until October 31st of this year, or until funds are exhausted.

Initially, PLN 400 million was allocated for this edition of the program, later increased to PLN 1.25 billion. In early March of this year, another PLN 600 million was added , bringing the program's current budget to PLN 1.85 billion.

The program is so popular that application processing and disbursement times exceed a year. Magdalena Sokołowska, spokesperson for the National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management, explained to Portal Samorządowy that the delays stem from numerous corrections submitted by applicants, which is why the number of corrections allowed per application has been limited to four.

Statistics show that as many as 42% of applications are subject to at least one review, and 5% are subject to a second review. There have been cases where the number of review requests exceeded 10. This restriction is intended to streamline the assessment process and expedite disbursements.

- says Magdalena Sokołowska.

The spokeswoman also clarified that the Fund is not currently planning another round and encourages all interested parties to submit applications. "There's still funding," she said.
