A massive fire in Hajnówka burns down a commercial building. More than 20 fire departments are on the scene.

A fire broke out overnight at a commercial building in Hajnówka. Firefighters are on the scene. According to reports, no one was injured.

According to Brigadier Piotr Sienkiewicz, press officer of the District Commander of the State Fire Service in Hajnówka, the report about the fire was received shortly after midnight.

- After arriving at the scene, firefighters noticed a lot of smoke coming from under the roof of the building, which was visible across the entire width of the building, on the top, third floor - said Brigadier Piotr Sienkiewicz in an interview with polsatnews.pl.

The fire spread quickly due to flammable materials —the wooden roof and trim. The building housed a furniture store . The fire quickly spread throughout the building.

- At the peak of the fire, there were 24 fire trucks and approximately 50 professional and volunteer firefighters on site - added Brigadier Sienkiewicz.

No injuries were reported. A section of the road near Armii Krajowej Street is blocked.

Firefighters are currently working outside the building. They are not yet able to safely enter the building.
