Glucose tanker crashes outside church. People say it was divine intervention.
The driver of the vehicle was stuck in the cabin, but according to the krosno112.pl portal, a firefighter from the Krościenko Wyżne Volunteer Fire Department was at the scene and immediately rushed to help.
A tanker truck overturned in Miejsce Piastowe, causing significant damage. The route towards the border was blocked.The officer managed to evacuate the driver from the wrecked truck , provided him with first aid, and then handed him over to firefighters from the Miejsce Piastowe Volunteer Fire Department. Thanks to their quick response, the driver, although in shock, was conscious and was transferred to the care of the emergency medical services.
Numerous emergency services immediately responded to the scene, including firefighters from the Miejsce Piastowe Volunteer Fire Department, Rogi Volunteer Fire Department, and Krosno Fire Department, as well as police officers from the Krosno Municipal Police Headquarters. Due to the significant infrastructure damage, the gas emergency services were also called.
The accident caused massive traffic disruptions. National Road No. 19, Dukielska Street, was completely blocked. The nearby roundabout connecting the DK19 and DK28 roads was also practically paralyzed . Traffic jams stretched towards Łężany, Rymanów, and Krosno.
The tanker truck overturned and struck a roadside chapel, which was completely destroyed. Fortunately, the statue of the Virgin Mary inside survived. Firefighters moved it to a nearby church.
