Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Defence Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz assessed during Wednesday's crisis management meeting that due to the dynamic weather situation, there is no way to be lulled into thinking that the forecasts are changing from minute to minute.

He asked the voivodes to monitor all local government units and send inquiries as to whether preventive use of forces and resources is necessary, among other things, to secure flood embankments.

Most of the country is occupied with serious alerts, so this is an even more complicated situation - it does not concern two or three voivodeships, but only ten voivodeships with a high degree of risk , so all services will be involved.

In the remaining voivodeships with a lower flood risk, the District Military District of the Armed Forces maintains approximately 3,000 soldiers and 644 pieces of equipment on 6-hour standby.

Firefighters were deployed according to the hazard map

Chief Commander of the State Fire Service, Chief Brigadier Wojciech Kruczek, announced that pre-emptive actions have been taken, including the relocation of two special companies from the West Pomeranian and Pomeranian Voivodeships (142 firefighters and 43 vehicles) to the Łódź Voivodeship, as well as a special company from the Wielkopolskie Voivodeship (65 firefighters, 21 vehicles) to the Silesian Voivodeship.

In total, within the Central Operational District, 251 firefighters and 66 vehicles were relocated in accordance with the hazard map to where we expected the heaviest rainfall and the highest number of incidents
