More and more sanatoriums in Poland decide to allow stays with dogs or cats. Spas that have decided to introduce such a possibility offer special rooms adapted to the needs of animal owners.
The cost of an animal's stay in a sanatorium depends on the standard of the facility and ranges from PLN 20 to even PLN 120 per day. In some cases, a refundable deposit is also required as security in case of any damage caused by the pet.
Sanatorium on the National Health Fund only with a guide dogEven though more and more health resorts allow pets, rehabilitation stays financed by the National Health Fund are still subject to certain restrictions.
The regulations of most facilities covered by public funding do not allow the presence of animals in rooms intended for patients using National Health Fund services.
The exception are guide dogs - they can accompany their owners in any of the options. In the case of private trips, sanatoriums are more flexible and more often allow a stay with a pet.
