This smells of wealth. Louis Vuitton has announced the price of a unique perfume housed in a copper trunk.

In homage to the metallic Louis Vuitton trunks designed last year by Pharrell Williams, an original copper perfume bottle has been created to house the LV Lovers fragrance. Only 30 pieces of the LV Lovers Copper Edition are available for sale, each priced at €5,000.
This is all thanks to the extraordinary bottles, which proved to be quite a challenge for Louis Vuitton. It all began with Pharrell Williams' debut collection, which featured gleaming metallic trunks. They quickly inspired the creation of the collector's edition, LV Lovers Copper Edition, housed in a copper bottle. One of the greatest challenges was combining the fragrance's structure with the challenging material. Texen took on the challenge, successfully combining the bottle's design with the fragrance's formula.

The collector's line of perfumes includes only 30, quite valuable pieces. The brand charges €5,000 for each, and the innovative bottle holds 100 ml. The high price may be due to the rather complex stages of bottle creation.
The process of crafting each piece is a true art. A wax model encased in plaster is then poured with molten copper, which, once solidified, creates a solid, matte surface. The bottles are then precisely engraved with the Louis Vuitton monogram and polished to shine like a true piece of jewelry. Over time, their surface develops a natural patina, highlighting the uniqueness of each bottle.
The original bottles, reminiscent of Louis Vuitton's portable trunks, were created in the heart of Italy, in the Artem Firenze studio, using the ancient lost-wax casting technique. The bottle's design evokes the copper plaques that once adorned the trunks of 19th-century travelers, giving them a unique character. How do the perfumes themselves fit into all this?
The idea behind the original copper bottle was to store perfume without affecting its fragrance through contact with the raw material. Texen came to the rescue, creating a specialized , innovative membrane that completely isolates the liquid from the copper. The inner shell perfectly adapts to the bottle's shape. It is flexible and has multiple layers that enhance not only the safety but also the quality of the perfume itself.
Each of these specialized membranes is hand-fitted into the bottles, and the spray heads are then surgically adjusted to the bottle itself. Texen's flex technology opens new doors in creative perfumery, where not only the scent but also the bottle's form is important. This will enable the creation of modern, perhaps somewhat futuristic, designs that will revolutionize the perfume industry.

LV Lovers was created by perfumer Jacques Cavallier Belletrude, who collaborates with the fashion house. The fragrance itself is very fresh, full of harmony and warmth. The composition opens with distinctive notes of ginger and galbanum, which give the perfume a spicy and refreshing lightness, stimulating the senses from the very first sniff.
The heart of the fragrance is subtle bergamot, introducing a delicate, citrus freshness, balancing all the ingredients and foreshadowing the depth of the rest of the composition. The base is formed by warm and enveloping accords of cedar and sandalwood, which give the perfume a noble, slightly earthy character and longevity. The limited collector's edition debuted in June of this year.
