Body of man removed from reservoir in Gaia

The body of a man was removed this Thursday night from the Crestuma-Lever reservoir, in Vila Nova de Gaia, Porto district, with his identity unknown, a source from the Porto Maritime Police told Lusa this Friday.

According to the Maritime Police, the body was removed from the reservoir on the Douro River at 9:30 pm in a “high state of decomposition”, and was transported to the Porto Institute of Legal Medicine.

Elements of the Maritime Police and the Crestuma Fire Department were at the scene.
