Expert teaches how to identify yellow scorpion tracks

Yellow scorpions are arachnids that attack unintentionally—but harmfully. Therefore, it's important to be alert to signs of their presence in your home and take essential precautions to avoid cohabitation. Scorpions prefer spaces with warm, humid temperatures, commonly proliferating during spring and summer.
These arachnids prefer environments that offer food, shelter, and favorable conditions for reproduction. According to biologist Atílio Sersun, degraded areas, or even those near rubble, streams, sewage pipes, and damp areas, are veritable strongholds for yellow scorpions.
One of the most common signs of these arachnids' presence in the home or nearby environments is the static bodies of their prey. Sersun explains that the exoskeleton is also a common sign left by yellow scorpions. "Because they're animals that undergo what we call echidysis, they molt," explains the expert – ecdysis is the process of exoskeleton shedding in arthropods, which allows them to grow.
In other words, as the yellow scorpion grows, it replaces its "clothing," leaving small trails in the environment or region. Another possibility, according to Sersun, is encountering insect fragments near areas where there is some type of infestation.
Have you found signs? Find out where it might be hiding.
If you've noticed any of these signs at home and suspect scorpions, it's important to be aware of potential hiding places. They prefer dark environments.
Sersun warns that they can appear in cracks, gaps, and joints. "Sometimes even where two walls meet," he points out. Another common hiding spot for yellow scorpions is shoes, which, when left on the ground, can provide temporary shelter for these arachnids—especially when they wander in search of food.
These creatures can also be found in debris, wood, tiles, and other objects commonly piled up in the yard. Therefore, it's best to wear gloves when handling these materials, especially considering the risk of scorpions hiding among the piles.
If you suspect or have already seen scorpions in your home , do not hesitate to seek a specialized team to remove them from the location, avoid direct contact or trying to capture them yourself.
