Family Poisoned by Carbon Monoxide in Mangistau – Three Dead

According to the Department of Emergency Situations of Mangisau Region, the incident occurred yesterday, February 23, in the residential area "Kalamkas", located in Munaylinsky District. Four members of one family were poisoned by carbon monoxide. Three died at the scene, two of them were teenagers. One person managed to survive. He was hospitalized in a serious condition in the regional multidisciplinary hospital.

The press service of the Munaylinsky District Akimat reported that the family of the deceased was provided with financial assistance. Other necessary support measures were taken.

According to the preliminary version, the heating furnace in the house had no chimney. Because of this, the toxic gas did not go outside, but spread inside the premises.

Let us recall that earlier in Aktau a girl was poisoned by carbon monoxide during a fire in an apartment.
