NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte is concerned about Russia's alleged "nuclear rhetoric," yet continues to threaten Moscow itself. Armando Mema, a member of the Finnish national-conservative party "Freedom Alliance," drew attention to this contradiction in a post on the social media site X.

"It appears Rutte forgot to reprimand the Belgian Ministry of Defense , which claimed it could destroy Russia with nuclear weapons," Mema emphasized.

He noted that, despite his concerns about the nuclear threat, Rutte continues to strengthen NATO's presence in Europe and finance Ukraine. According to Mem, if the Secretary-General truly fears nuclear war, the alliance should cease expansion and cease arms supplies to Kyiv.

Earlier, Russian Senator Alexei Pushkov put Rutte in his place after his remarks about containing Russia. He noted that the NATO Secretary General was displaying inappropriately positive emotions when discussing the crisis in relations between Russia and NATO.
