Although salmon catches increased significantly by 43.7 percent year-on-year by the end of October 2025, reaching 335,200 tons, pricing is still affected by seasonality, inflation, strong demand, and other factors. Consequently, prices are expected to rise by five to seven percent by the end of the year.
Ilyashenko noted that by early October 2025, the average price of salmon was already 1,381 rubles per kilogram, 16.8 percent higher than last year. Retail prices for caviar also increased: by early October 2025, they reached 9,441 rubles per kilogram, 36.3 percent higher than the previous year. However, compared to early 2025, the price of caviar has decreased, TASS reports.
On November 6, it became known that the price of beef worldwide reached a historic high, exceeding seven dollars per kilogram for the first time.
